Product Description & Further Details:
This Sony Walkman is in excellent working condition and shows remarkable quality for its age. The back panel is in excellent shape with no noticeable issues, and all four original feet are still in place. The front panel has no visible scratches on the black anodising, and the screen-printed Walkman logo is in great condition. The plastic chassis band is also in excellent condition. The felt surround for the -20dB switch is present, and all screws are intact and in good condition. The battery holder is in good shape, with the slide-on cover included and no signs of corrosion. The cassette door has no scratches on the anodising, and the window is in great condition, with only very light, barely noticeable scratches. The window has been securely refitted into the door. Overall, the Walkman looks fantastic and functions perfectly, delivering outstanding sound quality with very minimal wow and flutter (explained in detail below).

Wow and Flutter Information:
"Wow and flutter" refers to variations in playback speed, usually caused by age or wear. This unit exhibits very little wow and flutter, as all potential causes (such as dirty or dry moving parts, worn belts, dirty capstan, and pinch rollers) have been thoroughly inspected and addressed during refurbishment.
It's important to note that every tape player experiences some degree of wow and flutter, as no unit is completely immune. The amount can vary based on the condition of the tape and cassette quality. For the best results, I recommend performing a full rewind and fast-forward on older tapes before playing them.
